Welcome

Welcome to Amherst Circle of Friends Preschool

A craft activity at Circle of FriendsYoung children learn and grow most readily by experience. By allowing your child to get involved with many different mediums or languages of expression they become familiar with the many means at their disposal for becoming expressive individuals.

At Circle of Friends, I adopt a project-based curriculum which the children and I will create together based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy of educating young children. This philosophy encourages the teacher to observe and work closely with their students to create a curriculum based on mutual interests.

Here at Circle of Friends I hope to expose your children to many different forms of self expression to help them gain confidence in their intellectual abilities and strengthen their desire to learn and grow. I enjoy working with preschool age children very much and I pride myself in helping children to become the best they can be.

My primary focus with this age group is the arts; however, that includes rather then excludes working on the fundamental skills your child will need for entering kindergarten. I will teach your children colors, shapes, numbers, letters, counting, scissor skills as well as their pre-writing and reading skills. This will all take place while having great fun expressing and creating together.
